Healthier for your family
Our cabins use Axxis® Steel from Ezisteel. Steel framing requires no toxic chemical treatments, won’t rot, and doesn’t support mould or mildew. Axxis® Steel is recognised by the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ as a Sensitive Choice product for healthier, allergen‑reduced living.
So you can breathe easier.
Fire resistant
Steel doesn’t burn or add fuel to a fire. Independent testing has shown steel framing stays intact even in extreme temperatures, helping prevent collapse and limiting fire spread.

Stronger & EQ resilient
Your frame is the backbone of your home. Steel offers superior strength and ductility — meaning it bends without breaking — making it highly resistant to earthquake damage.

Windows & Doors
We partner with a local joinery specialist to deliver high‑quality, customisable doors and windows.
Choose from ranch sliders, bi‑folds, and a range of window sizes. Black joinery is standard for a clean, modern look, with other colours available to suit your style.

Flooring
Our standard flooring is a durable, rubber‑backed carpet tile. If you prefer a different finish, we can customise to suit your design.

Light & electrics
We use reputable, energy‑efficient LED lighting and quality electrical components throughout. All work is completed by a registered electrician and independently inspected. You’ll receive both an Electrical Certificate of Safety and a Caravan Electrical Warrant of Fitness.

Cladding
Our most commonly used types of cladding are treated plywood with a dark oak stain and Black corrugated Colour Steel. If you have something else in mind, lets chat!

Axxis® Steel carries a 50‑year durability statement, and overseas testing shows it can last over 200 years when properly protected. It’s engineered for New Zealand conditions and built to endure.

100% recyclable
Axxis® Steel is made in New Zealand using locally sourced materials and recycled content. It creates minimal waste during construction and is fully recyclable without losing strength.
So you can relax knowing it’s sustainable.
Insulation
Our cabins are fully insulated for year‑round comfort.
We use high‑performance Pink Batts glass insulation (R2.2 in walls and ceiling), a BRANZ‑appraised product with a 50‑year warranty. It delivers excellent thermal and sound performance and is widely trusted across New Zealand.
So you stay warm and comfortable.
Walls - inside & out
We use Watergate Plus 295 — a fire‑retardant, breathable, water‑resistant wall underlay designed to protect your cabin behind exterior cladding while allowing moisture to escape.
Interior walls are lined with quality CD pine plywood, finished with primed or clear architraves for a clean, modern look.
So your walls stay protected.
Custom-built trailers
Every Renegade Cabin comes on our own custom-built trailer, making transport simple and allowing easy repositioning on-site. Cabins can be winched on and moved without cranes or lifting gear.
